Almost heaven for kayakers, rafters, mountain bikers, hikers, fishermen and couples seeking a quiet, romantic get-away, Nantahala Vista has it all.  Just 5 minutes from NOC and the Appalachian Trail, this rustic 2 bedroom, cedar-sided cabin is at the hub for outdoor activities of western North Carolina.  If you are looking for forest and seclusion with a view, Nantahala Vista is for you.  Perched on Paint Mountain at 2700 ft, it is surrounded by forest near the end of a private road and it backs up against the Nantahala National Forest.  The cabin takes advantage of its vista of the mountains and the Nantahala Gorge with its large glass windows on the both floors.  As a result, you’ll have a great view from the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, upstairs study and, of course, the deck.

After a day of running rivers, hiking the AT, mountain biking at Tsali and fishing on the Nantahala River or Fontana Lake, you will want to wind down and relax on the deck, or soak in our hot tub while sipping a glass of wine and watching the sun set behind the Cheoah Mountains

On a chilly evening, light up a crackling fire in the wood-burning stone fireplace in the Great Room with its soaring ceiling and enjoy watching the flat screen HD TV or a DVD movie.  Nantahala Vista encourages conversation with its open kitchen, and cozy living area.  Have a cup of coffee at the island bar with its black granite countertops.  If you want to cook a meal, use our electric range and oven or perhaps you would like to barbeque some steaks or burgers with our propane grill on the deck. 

The upstairs study and bedroom offer quiet space for reading and resting.

Couples in the master bedroom will love the slate bathroom and shower.
