Tip of the Dragon Retreat will make you feel like you’re on top of the world. With a Bird’s Eye view, you’ll relish the trip with your friends and family. This two bedroom/one bath cabin also has two convertible sofas for sleeping up to 6 people.

You’ll love relaxing with your loved ones in the Living Room after a long hard day of adventure. Cooking breakfast will be a blast with the waffle iron and electric griddle in the fully equipped kitchen. And what better place to have breakfast than al fresco on the covered deck? The indoor dining is roomy too, if you want to have a quiet, indoor dinner. For grilling, you won’t be disappointed with a gas grill looking out at the lake and mountains. Watching the sunset mirrored on the water while you grill will perfect your evenings. If you prefer, you can take a run down the short gravel drive and paved road to the Dragon’s Den Grill & Pub for a meal.

Tip of the Dragon Retreat is located at the North Carolina end of the famous Tail of the Dragon at Deal’s Gap, America’s number one motorcycle and sports car road with 318 curves in 11 miles. Tip Of The Dragon Retreat is perfect for the motorcycle or sports car enthusiast. If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush, try white water rafting on either the Cheoah or the Nantahala Rivers. For swimming and boating try Lake Santeetlah or Fontana Lake. There’s even SCUBA diving at Fontana Lake. For an afternoon of adventure drive over the mountain to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge for shopping and amusement parks. Mountain bikers and hikers alike will love Tsali Recreation Area with its 39 miles of trails. If you want to get in touch with Mother Nature, try visiting Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest with broad and ancient trees or visit Deep Creek and Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Don’t forget your fishing pole, Tip Of The Dragon Retreat is only 2 ½ miles to Lake Cheoah and Calderwood, which have small boat and lakeside fishing. Also Lake Santeetlah and Fontana Lake are both about 15 minutes away with First Class deep cold water fishing.

There are train rides through Nantahala at the Great Smoky Mountains Rail Road and even a zoo in Cherokee. Coffee shops, antique stores, craft huts, and more abound through Western North Carolina for shopping and chit-chatting. For the night life, there are movie theaters, the Smoky Mountain Community Theater, and pubs with live bands nearby. Try Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee, or a karaoke bar in Bryson City.

Tip of the Dragon Retreat is NOT pet friendly, No Loud Motorcycles or Speeding on the road adjacent to the cabin. Sleeps 4-6 and is available Spring, Summer & Fall.
