Description

Minutes from fishing and hiking, Cherokee Timber Lodge has everything you need for the perfect mountain getaway.  With three bedrooms plus two and half baths, this log cabin has all the comforts of home and some.  The cheery glow of the gas fireplaces sets a great backdrop for relaxing on the luscious leather sofas.  Laugh with your loved ones while sharing old memories or making new ones.  The large TV in the living room flickers with action from above the stone fireplace.

Capture the warmth of the Smoky Mountain sun on the open deck. Two gazebos stand by when you're ready for shade.  When the last rays of sunshine fan over the mountains, gather around the gas fire pit in the gazebo.

Mountain time flows differently than city time.  Instead of traffic jams and honking, here on the quiet side of the Smokys a short drive will take you from Cherokee Timber Lodge to the adventure you crave.
Fore! The Sequoyah National Golf Club is less than 10 minutes from the cabin. For a more stimulating course, the Smoky Mountain Country Club is about fifteen minutes away.
Two rushing rivers are nearby: the Nantahala River and the Tuckaseegee River.  Home of the 2013 IFC World Championship, the rushing Nantahala River is about half an hour from the cabin.  The nearby Tuckaseegee River is a less heart-pounding experience.
Crisp cool waters are sure to refresh with tubing at Deep Creek or the Oconaluftee River.
Awaken your inner explorer by hiking trails at Deep Creek.  Three waterfalls are waiting for you to discover them -- Juneywhank Falls, Tom Branch Falls, and Indian Creek Falls.
Choose your flavor of excitement at Harrahs Cherokee Casino and Event Center. Try your luck at cards or slots, or dine at one of their tantalizing restaurants.  With a wide variety of shows at Harrahs, you can laugh out loud at famous comedians and feel the music with famous musicians like Loretta Lynn and Daughtry.  Get a dose of majesty -- at dusk, Elk often gather in the National Park.

We enjoyed a great family vacation here. We visited Fontana Dam, drove all through the park, saw the waterfalls at Deep Creek and waded through the cold water there. We also visited the Farm house museum and did gem mining, soaked in the hot tub, sat around the fire pit and played games. Perfect Vacations.

Nice property located high on a hillside located between Bryson City and Cherokee. 2 upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom but are on opposite ends of each other so there's good separation. Master bedroom is located off the living room on main level. Sufficient kitchen utensils and seating. The gas outdoor fireplace was a nice feature along with the hot tub

We have stayed at this particular cabin 4 times. Absolutely LOVE the cabin, amenities, location which includes views from cabin....absolutely everything about staying here always brings us right back. We brought in-laws this time from CA. Their expectation when we mentioned staying in a cabin in the mountains - was more of a quaint little 1 room cabin....they were blown away! As we drove up the mountain, getting closer to our destination, they were lost for words with utter excitement and amazement of what was in store for our weekend! It was cold (mid 50s at night) so the fireplace was on...and thoroughly enjoyed! We also did the Train excursion in nearby Bryson City - Highly recommend visiting this attraction! Our weekend went by SOOOOO Fast....looking forward to another trip in the future! Highly recommend this cabin!
