Thank you for sharing your cabins. We enjoyed the wonderful views!! It was our last night here and we heard a noise outside. We saw a little black bear roaming around the property. He entertained us as we ran around from the decks to the windows to catch a glimpse of this beautiful creature. It was a great way to end our trip.

- 07/28/13 -- The Reinhardts of State Road, NC:
We have stayed in several cabins in the Smokies and this is one of our favorites! We were on the mountains alone most of the week - fabulous! We even had a visit from a bear. [But just because he's there doesn't mean you should feed him!] He paid us surprise visit in the evening around dusk. Love your home thanks for sharing!

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We will always remember it as the place where we got engaged. We enjoyed the beautiful views and perfect weather. Perfect place to be close to nature while still getting to have the amenities of home.

This was our first trip to Bryson City and we had a terrific time. Loved this cabin "home away from Home". Absolutely perfect, clean, cozy. Thank you so much for everything. We'll be back soon.

This is my third trip to Bryson city and this has been my favorite cabin so far. I was really looking for a cabin with a view and this was definitely the cabin to choose. Watching the fog roll down the mountain in the morning was beautiful. this was the first vacation my boyfriend and I have taken together and we very much enjoyed the seclusion. We rode the Smoky mtn. Railroad on Saturday afternoon. W went to Dillsboro & shopping around the little town. If you are looking for a scenic view this was not the right excursion, I highly recommend the Nantahala Gorge Ride instead. We loved the cabin. So comfy & looking forward to this cabin again.

- 3/3-10/2013 - HC & GB
Thank you for a wonderful retreat. We experienced snow, mist, rain, blue sky and 60 degree sunshine all in one week time. It was a welcome change from the desert.

- 1/18-25/2013 - Scott & Kathy Keough - Central FL
What an amazing place. More than promised, the amenities furnishings and views are wonderful. At home, but restful and exceptional set up. We look forward to returning to enjoy the Spring views and such, as most were closed for the season. Snow was gorgeous, not something we see in FL.

- 12/30/2012-1/5/2013 - Linda & Joe Giarse - Mississippi
My husband and I were very excited to be here in this beautiful cabin. The views are wonderful. We had a wonderful New Year's Eve on the GSMR Gala. This cabin is a wonderful & gracious place to relax & explore nature. The amenities were exceptional and the distances to town was just right. We definitely consider coming back. the octagon dining room is spectacular.

Loved our home away from home. Enjoyed dinner on the covered porch and reading in the Jacuzzi and back porch-very relaxing! Deep Creek was a short drive to a great picnic site and waterfalls were a nice easy walk to see. This was our first time and we will have to come back.

- 3/6/2012 - Shawna & Chris:

Your cabin is beautiful. We had a great time at the Park. We went to the dam, but the Blue Ridge Parkway was the best. It was beautiful at the higher altitudes. Hope to be back in the future.

- 10/8/2011 - Don Wollum & Carol Cherala, Hillsborough, NC:
Thank you for sharing your lovely and comfortable home with us and others so that we can enjoy the beauties and the natural wonders of this area. The trails at Tsali, kayaking on Fontana Lake, and bicycling fill our days with many joys and much fun. Returning “home” to this lovely cabin offered comfort and relaxation. We enjoyed perusing all of the books you have in the evening while we lay (and slept) in front of the warmth of the fireplace. The weather was stellar all week and highlighted the natural beauty of this land that truly reflects the miracles of God’s creation. We look forward to return trips and stays at Ridge Runner Retreat.

- 9/24/2011 - Doug & Beverly Smith, Villa Rica, GA:
My wife and I just had our 37th anniversary and we have stayed at many places over the years, but this one is one of the best. We had some great friends come up with us and we all had a great time. Wish we could have stayed longer. There is so much you can do. We loved the town of Bryson City and the nearby waterfalls. We will be
back again I am sure. Thank you for letting us use this wonderful home.

Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin with us. The views are beautiful. It was very nice to get away from the Florida heat. My husband and son had fun catching 21 trout at the trout farm. The Rizzo Family

The cabin was everything and more, a true luxury in the woods! Well supplied with cooking essentials, comfortable furniture, beautiful view! Internet access good, limited cell phone access though. Mother nature brought us a bear to watch one night so be sure to secure your garbage outside..they are pretty smart animals! A welcome surprise for us. The only inconvenience is that the entry gate was on the fritz and needed to be repaired during our stay and I was given the wrong lockbox code to the cabin and with limited cell service and daylight buring was a bit troubling but forgot all about it once in the cabin! We are adventure seekers so mountain biking, hiking, ziplinng and whitewater rafting are all close by! Many pamphlets in the cabin if you did not plan ahead, we got there the final week before season closing so plan accordingly. It also was important to us to come home to a hot tub and a comfortable place to relax after an action packed day. We also took a day to enjoy and shop in near by towns. Bottomline, I would stay here again. Do listen and follow instructions provided, arriving the first day during daylight hours was extremely helpful advice even if all went as planned!

My husband, son, and daughter-in-law and I came up for our daughter's wedding, they were married about a mile away over on another hill (as a crow flies) but you know how long of a ride that can be to get there. It was a gorgeous weekend for it. We've never been to the mountains in the Fall. It's been great! We loved the huge cabin where they stayed, but it was nothing compared to the coziness here! Beautiful cabin and great fall vacation. Cozy and a breath taking sunrise view! We will most likely stay here when we come back up this way. I hope to come with snow on the ground one day - that sounds awesome! Thanks!

It is a very nice property with an incredible view. The weather could have cooperated a little bit more (2 days of rainy, 1 day of clear), but all in all it was a very nice "escape" for an anniversary celebration and end-of-summer getaway.
