Description

Sky Cove Retreat is a mountain getaway on top of the world. From early dawn until sunset, you’ll be immersed in the 180° view of ridge, after ridge, after ridge of one of the best views of the Great Smoky Mountains. If that isn’t enough, just wait until the stars come out! Turn off the cabin lights, lie in the hammock and stare up at the beautiful starry sky that punctuates the darkest nights you’ve ever seen.

During the day, you can relax in the shaded covered porch of this genuine log home and enjoy rocking and watching nature at is best. You’ll likely be visited by many birds, deer and some wild turkey. The big side terrace with its deck and stone patio features a hot tub, hammock and outdoor dining table. And the second deck on the lower level is the place to rock your cares away rain or shine.

Inside, your meals can be prepared in the fully equipped kitchen and served at the inside dining table, outside picnic table on the covered deck or the outdoor dining table on the terrace. Of course you can just cook outside on the gas grill if you wish. There are three satellite TVs in the cabin highlighted by a new wide screen HD-TV over the fireplace and each one has a DVD player for movies.

We loved the cabin! The views are wonderful. The hot tub was so refreshing every night. We enjoyed seeing the rabbits every morning to. Many times beds are uncomfortable but not this time. The master bed slept well!! The layout of the cabin suited us well to. The decks were perfect for relaxing. While we were here we hiked Deep Creek 4 1/2 miles, horseback riding out at Smokemont, rode the train to Dillsboro, white water rafting, with paddle in and shopping in Bryson. Great visit would love to visit again.

Wow! What a view! That has definitely been the best thing about our cabin. and the weather was perfect all week. Only one day of rain and we checked out the casino that day. We went to the Biltmore, Cades Cove-saw three bears, Joyce Kilmer and Forest. Wow those trees were so big and old! Amazing. Spent the day in Cherokee, In the river and a day hiking at deep Creek that we found in the binder. Everything was great. Wish we could take this cooler weather back with us to Tampa, FL. It was in the low 80`s in the day and 60`s at night. Couldn`t have been more perfect. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Once again we had a wonderful trip. We saw more things on this vacation than our last one such as all the beautiful waterfalls, Fontana Dam and nature trails. The Smokes are so majestic every time we come up here. Hope to be able to do it again next year!!

We had a wonderful week! We hiked at the Joyce Kilmer State Forest (the huge trees were awesome)! We also visited our familys favorite place on Earth Cades Cove. We saw turkeys, deer, and 5 bears. It is a far drive from here, but scenic. Thanks again!
