Important Guest Policies & Information
Pet Policy
We love dogs and welcome up to two dogs with advance notice and a $100 non-refundable pet fee. (Additional dogs evaluated on a case-by-case basis). To protect the cabin and ensure future pets are welcome, guests agree to our Pet Agreement:
  • Dogs must remain off beds, sofas, and furniture. (Evidence of pets on furniture will result in a $100 fee; pet-related damage or indoor accidents carry a minimum $200 charge).
  • Dogs left unattended inside the cabin must be crated.
  • Dogs must remain leashed at all times when outdoors.
  • Undisclosed pets incur a $250 fee in addition to the standard pet fee. Bringing pets to unauthorized properties may result in immediate eviction without a refund.
Road & Vehicle Requirements (4WD Required)
Please plan your transport carefully:
Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) and higher ground clearance are required to reach Bear Hug Cabin safely. Low-clearance or 2WD vehicles may not be able to navigate the steep mountain roads or driveway.
Mountain conditions change quickly due to rain, ice, snow, loose gravel, washouts, or fallen leaves.
No refunds will be issued if you are unable to reach the cabin due to road conditions or arriving in an unsuitable vehicle. Please check forecasts and prepare for true mountain driving.

Water Conservation
Bear Hug Cabin relies on natural mountain water sources. We kindly ask guests to practice mindful water use:
Keep showers brief and turn off faucets while brushing teeth.
Reuse towels when possible and run full loads for laundry or dishwashing.
Please do not wash vehicles on the property, and report leaks immediately.

Wildlife & Safety Notice
You are in active bear habitat! Seeing wildlife is exciting, but safety comes first:
Never leave food or scented items outside or inside vehicles.
Always reattach the bungee cords securely on outdoor trash lids after each use.
Keep dogs leashed at all times, make noise on hikes, and stay alert around dawn and dusk.
Never approach, feed, or attempt to closely photograph black bears or other wildlife.

We look forward to hosting your dream getaway at Bear Hug Cabin!
