We went with our children and their families, to see snow! More on that later. The home is beautiful inside and out. The half wrap around porch was great. We spent our first full day away exploring a nearby attraction, saw snow, and got in early enough to enjoy the hot top while our son cooked. The upstairs TV was perfect for the younger bunch, while the older ones sat down near the fireplace reading. Everyone had their own space to sleep in or hibernate. The kitchen is a traveler's dream. Equipped with anything and everything a cook could wish for. The 2nd day it rained and was chilly. The rain was off and on, so allowed time for exploring. Had my husband and I been 50 years younger we would have been up and down those hills. Watching the fog roll in below us was beautiful. This vacation home is at the top of my list of rentals. I personally prayed for falling snow for the grands, 11,9, and 4. See it on the ground is ok. And as we left it did!!! Wonderful Trip!

We always have an amazing time staying at this beautiful cabin! We especially enjoy the fireplace and the hot tub. An added bonus last year and this year was the beautiful Christmas Tree. I was so happy that it was still up for us.

Such a beautiful place to be able to visit. The hot tub and fireplace were not underused. We went snow tubing and trout fishing which we had for dinner. We got to see snow fall which was very foreign for us Floridians. The cabin was an amazing adventure for us!! Thank you for letting us be a part of it.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with our family! We enjoyed spending time together and making memories on our first Christmas vacation to Bryson City! The space in "Changes in Altitude" was perfect in accommodating our "Jolliest bunch.. this side of the nut house". We loved the additional festive touches supplementing the already homey decor. The 6 year old of the group loved the games that were at the cabin. We hope to visit Changes in Altitude again!

We enjoyed our stay at Changes in Altitude. We caught a beautiful sunset on our last day here. We did the Polar Express, the Biltmore at Christmas, Christmas at Darnell Farms and exploring downtown Bryson City. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed. The hot tub and firepit were amazing.

WE had an absolutely great time! The cabin had views to die for. This was a family reunion that was long over due, so the cabin made it so relaxing!! Corn hole, pit for smores and great dinners with lots of laughter. We enjoyed all of the amenities in the surrounding area. Pontoon boat, train ride and white water rafting! We will be coming back for sure.

Brought some friends and my son down. Great Cabin!!! We dined at Jimmy Mac's in Bryson one evening. The place may not look like much, but the food is awesome. WE got to look down on the 4th of July fireworks from up here. Morning views are terrific. It almost looks like you could walk out across the morning fog layer. The cabin itself has basically everything anyone could need. Thanks for sharing your place.

We loved how much room we had for family and friends. We learned of many new places and things to do. Like pontoon boating on Lake Fontana, saw waterfalls, zip line, tubing and BBQ in town - YYUMMY". We stopped at the shake shop and had ice cream. Love the quietness and the views on Baines Mountain!!! Loved loved our stay and our 60th birthday celebration.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Changes in Altitude cabin in Bryson City, NC The cabin is beautiful, roomy, clean and relaxing.. Very well laid out, with the great parking. The most beautiful views! Fabulous deck and fire pit set up. Hot over looking the mountains was amazing. We traveled to Cherokee, looked at the white water rafting area, and loved Deep Creek Park. Took a pontoon boat out on Lake Fontana. A Must See!!!

Stunning home up high in the mountains. Our family of six adults and three children stayed at 'Changes in Altitude' for a Polar Express Weekend. The first time driving up the mountain was a bit overwhelming, but the cabin is so worth the adventure. Spacious, comfortable, peaceful and a great value. We would definitely stay again if in the area!

Absolutely loved this cabin. We had 4 couples on our vacation, and an extra couple stopped in to stay on Friday night. There was more than enough room for everyone and we never felt crowded. The pictures on the listing do NOT do Justice to this home. The hot tub is huge, and the floor plan is very open and spacious. Bonus points for each bedroom having a private bathroom. The driveway to the cabin is uphill, one lane and gravel. I have a rear wheel drive Tahoe, and even with 6 grown adults in the car we had no issues getting up to the house. We played lots of Jenga on the porch, and thoroughly enjoyed the Blackstone and the fire pit. The house is stocked with everything you could need for a night or two of cooking in. We will definitely be staying here again next year!!
