Description

New rental cabin just in time for Summer 2021!

Sunset Vista is at the top of a ridge and shares the mountain side with only one other house.  It has an expansive, wide front porch with breath-taking panoramic views of Nantahala Forest, Fontana Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park lands.

Enjoy meals at the live edge outdoor table or kick back and relax on the cushioned teak patio set. Entire days could be spent watching the smoke rise in the mornings and settle into the layered ridges, hawks circling in the afternoon splendor, sunsets that last for hours and then open night skies with hardly a human light to be seen.  A firepit is in the grassy side yard for marshmallows and a brand new hot tub will be added to the extended porch before August 2021

Sunset Vista is a spacious 2 story cabin that features comfortable amenities for a memorable vacation experience. On the entry level of the cabin you will find the open living room, dining room, and kitchen under high vaulted wooden ceilings and centered around a rock gas fireplace. A fully stocked kitchen with a high-end gas stovetop and massive counter space will make serving your group a breeze.  The living room is furnished with plush leather furniture and has wide windows with a full view of mountains to complement the big screen TV and Bose sound system.  Also located on the entry level is a laundry room, a half bath for all guests to use plus the king-size master bedroom suite with private bath.

The garage has been converted into a full game room and entertainment space featuring a large flat screen TV, 14 foot shuffleboard table, ping pong, foosball, and Nintendo Wii gaming system with lots of extras.  The kids can play while meals are being prepped and then the adults can have their own fun after the kids go down for bed.

The second level provides the second king size bedroom with TV and large closet. A tucked away loft with magnificent views has a queen bed. There is an additional loft bedroom perfect for kids and features a twin daybed with pocket pop up trundle.  A full bathroom with ample storage serves the upstairs guests.

All bedrooms have TV’s and DVD players.  The home has strong wifi and cell service to stay connected while away — but feel free to turn it all off and just listen to nature’s soundtrack with the occasional low hum of a boat motoring across the lake or steam train whistle in the far distance echo thru the mountains.

Nestled along the boundary of Nantahala Forest, Lake Fontana and Great Smoky National Park; this mountainside cabin has great 2WD accessibility and is a pleasant ride to Bryson City and many popular Smoky Mountain adventures.  You are just a few short minutes from the Wilderness Marina at Fontana Lake and a public lake access point that is popular for kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, and more! And the outdoor adventurous fun of the Nantahala Gorge like white water rafting and zip lining is only a 30 minute trip away.
