From its mountainside perch, the Sun Eagle Lodge gazes out towards the secluded splendor of the Smoky Mountains. Peering out over the powder white sea of clouds the warmth of the sun will touch your face and bring a joyful smile. It’s not only a beautiful view. It’s a beautiful life! Come live it with us at the Sun Eagle Lodge.

Filled with eclectic, upscale country decor our newly built retreat features two master suites with king beds and one queen bedroom with a full bath across the hall. The living areas begin with a high-ceilinged great room with large, comfortable buttery leather couches where you can make some popcorn and enjoy our selection of DVD’s on the HDTV, curl up with a book or just have some family laughs or a romantic moment in front of the stone fireplace. The open kitchen features granite countertops with seats to chat in the morning at the island bar. The Sun Eagle interior was designed for comfort and style but nothing can compare to the pure beauty of the nature that surrounds you outside.

From our upper deck you can spend the day grilling or basking in the sun on a lounge chair. When you’re ready to cool off head down to the tree shaded lower deck to relax and take in the view in one of our rocking chairs. At night you and your friends can slip into the hot tub and stare up at the moonlit sky above.

Outdoors enthusiasts will be in paradise! Just off your deck or out your front door you can grab a set of binoculars and catch the hundreds of species of birds or take a walk along the tree lined winding roads on Baines Mountain.

Sun Eagle Lodge will help you make beautiful mountain memories.

This was our first vacation up "north" for the winter. We are from Florida and rarely see temps below 50 degrees. The weather was perfect except for a couple days of rain. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi, the trail hikes and the gorgeous mountain view. We will definitely come back for a repeat visit. Maybe a summer time stay.

This property was absolutely beautiful, the view in the morning from the room downstairs was the best thing to wake up to. It was extremely clean but at the same time, did not feel "sterile", it had a very warm inviting feel and we felt at home at once.

What a fantastic and much needed family getaway. We took our 4 year old daughter and 5 month old son on the Polar Express and then to see the waterfalls. This cabin has been so wonderful. My daughter loved sleeping in the loft and my husband and I still enjoyed a romantic getaway feel downstairs with the fireplace. We loved how stocked the kitchen was with things for cooking. It was nice to be so close to everything and yet still able to get away and spend some time together. We will be back soon.

What a cabin! We didn't stay long so we didn't get to try out the grill or hot tub. But there is always next year. Our teens loved the waterfalls. We even got lucky and and saw a winter like scene at Newfoundland Gap. Which is a big deal when you are from Florida. So lucky we found this place- away from the noise but still near everything you want to see.

Your team of professionals were truly professional. Your phone was always answered promptly, we were never put on hold and our questions were answered thoroughly. Shortly after our arrival we received a phone call from a team member welcoming us and asking if everything at the cabin was satisfactory, this made us feel especially welcome.

My boys and I and their true loves cam here to be together for the first anniversary of their dad's death. Russ loved the Smokes! We hiked Andrews Bald, rafting at the NOC and the hiked the waterfall loop in Deep Creek. This cabin is so beautiful and had everything that we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit and soaking in the hot tub. The view and surrounding area are lovely. We are well rested and feel we did Russ proud.

We've rented homes in several other areas of the country. Our stay with Great Smokys was the first time we've ever had someone contact us during our vacation to make sure that everything was to our liking. Not only was the staff friendly, they were also very helpful.

We loved the "rustic"cabin in the NC woods. Beautiful decor. The knotty pine interior fits the setting perfectly. Three generations together and much to do for all. The grandparents loved the serenity of the balcony/porch - reading and taking in the "awesome" view. Mom and Dad enjoyed grilling and the hot tub. The kids enjoyed town. We could have asked for a better vacation. Thank you

We had a wonderful and relaxing time in this cabin. The view from both decks is amazing and watching the clouds move in was awesome. Deep Creek Falls and tubing was a lot of fun. We stayed in most nights and the kitchen was well stocked with all we need to cook with. Thank you for having a great and clean cabin for us to stay in.
