Why We Love It
Description
Spend your days exploring Bryson City and the surrounding mountains, then return to soak in the private hot tub while taking in the peaceful scenery. Inside, a comfortable queen bed provides a welcoming place to rest and recharge. Little Goldie’s may be modest in size, but it offers everything you need for a relaxing Smoky Mountain escape—including incredible views, fresh mountain air, and a deck made for slowing down.
Starter Supplies
To help you settle in comfortably, we provide a starter supply of:
- Trash bags
- Laundry detergent
- Dishwasher pods
- Paper towels
- Toilet paper
- Basic toiletries
- Coffee
- Firewood
- Propane for the gas grill
We recommend stopping for groceries before traveling to the cabin. Ingles, Bryson City’s primary grocery store, generally closes at 10 p.m., although winter hours may vary.
Pet Policy
Little Goldie’s welcomes up to two dogs with advance notice and a $100 nonrefundable pet fee. Dogs are the only pets permitted. More than two dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
By bringing a dog, you agree to follow our complete Pet Agreement. Important requirements include:
- Dogs are not permitted on beds, sofas, or other furniture.
- Dogs left unattended inside the cabin must be crated.
- Dogs must remain leashed outdoors.
- Guests are responsible for any damage or additional cleaning caused by their pets.
Road and Vehicle Requirements
Little Goldie’s is located along a mountain road, and road conditions may change quickly due to heavy rain, washouts, snow, ice, sleet, fallen leaves, or other weather-related conditions. Roads and driveways may include both paved and gravel surfaces.
Four-wheel drive is required to reach this cabin. A vehicle with higher ground clearance is also strongly recommended. Low-clearance vehicles may not be able to navigate the mountain road or driveway safely.
No refunds will be issued if you are unable to reach the cabin because of road conditions or because you arrive in an unsuitable vehicle. Please check the weather forecast before traveling and come prepared for mountain driving.
Water Conservation
Little Goldie’s relies on mountain water resources, so we kindly ask guests to use water thoughtfully during their stay.
- Keep showers reasonably short.
- Turn off the water while brushing your teeth.
- Reuse towels and linens when possible.
- Run the washer sparingly.
- Only run the dishwasher when it is full.
- Do not wash vehicles at the property.
- Report leaks or plumbing concerns immediately.
Wildlife Notice
Little Goldie’s is located in an active wildlife area, and bear sightings are possible. Guests must take appropriate precautions to help protect themselves, their pets, and the animals that call these mountains home.
- Secure all food, garbage, and scented items.
- Never leave food inside your vehicle.
- Reattach the bungee cords to the trash-can lids after every use.
- Stay alert, particularly around dawn and dusk.
- Never approach or feed bears or other wildlife.
- Keep dogs leashed at all times.
- When hiking, travel with others when possible and make noise to alert wildlife to your presence.
