The retreat is located next to Alarka Creek Oasis and only one driveway above Creekside Hideaway, making it an excellent choice for families or friends traveling together who want to stay close while enjoying separate accommodations.
Inside, you’ll find clean, thoughtfully equipped living spaces designed for a comfortable mountain getaway. The primary bedroom features a king-size bed and spacious walk-in closet, providing plenty of room to settle in and unwind.
Outside, Alarka Creek becomes your backyard. Relax beside the water, take in the peaceful scenery, and watch for the abundant wildlife that calls the area home. Anglers can enjoy fishing for rainbow, brook, and brown trout in the stocked creek—just steps from the retreat.
Despite its peaceful waterfront setting, Moonshine Creek Retreat offers convenient access to the area’s most popular attractions. Downtown Bryson City, the train station, and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad are only minutes away. Whitewater rafting, hiking trails, scenic waterfalls, and other outdoor adventures are also within easy reach.

Pet Policy
Moonshine Creek Retreat welcomes up to two dogs with advance notice and a $100 nonrefundable pet fee. Dogs are the only pets permitted. More than two dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

No refunds will be issued if you are unable to reach the cabin because of road conditions or because you arrive in an unsuitable vehicle. Please check the weather forecast before traveling and come prepared for mountain driving.

- Secure all food, garbage, and scented items.

- Never approach or feed bears or other wildlife.
- Keep dogs leashed at all times.
- When hiking, travel with others when possible and make noise to alert wildlife to your presence.
