This is our 4th time staying at this cabin and we have loved having this little home away from home for a week every year. We visited Clingman's Dome, Deep Creek, The Ocoee River in Tennessee (for whitewater rafting, highly recommended), Cullasaja Falls, Asheville, and more! While staying here, we celebrated my boyfriends 21st and my parents 24th anniversary. The hot tub and wii are always a nice treat, as well as the fire pit. Always a good stay here. Until next time!

My husband and I stay in a lot of cabins throughout the year to get away and decompress from demanding jobs in Atlanta. This is by far the best one yet. We will be back to enjoy this amazing home. Thanks for making it available to us at the last minute.

Wow!! What a great way to celebrate Tom's 60th birthday! The views, the hot tub, the stars, the fire pit... Everything was more than we could imagine. Tom's parents - Kent and Shirley -- joined us. What a fabulous family time. Thank you, Big Timber Lodge, for the Big Memories!

We made it back, this time with our lovely children. It has been a wonderful experience. We enjoyed some time in Pigeon Forge and also went on the "Peanuts - The Great Pumpkin Patch Express" train ride. It's been a very rainy weekend but we were able to find things to do. Thank you for another great stay at the Big Timber Lodge.

This was our 3rd stay at Big Timber Lodge. We love the views, location, and roomy cabin. Spent 2 days cruising the lake and enjoyed the outdoor fireplace every evening.

My husband and I vacationed here for our 5th wedding anniversary and it was a wonderful escape. We enjoyed dinner at Nantahala Resort and Village Bistro and had great chocolate martinis and an amazing view! We loved being off the beaten path here in Almond. We rented a boat at Almond Boat Park, fished all the surrounding rivers/streams/creeks. We always return to Cades Cove and Cherokee for wildlife spotting. Big Timber is more than we could have asked for. Everything we needed was here! We used the grill and the hot tub every night! Thank you so much for a wonderful getaway!

My family and I stayed here for two days, despite how fast our time went we had a blast. We played a couple intense games of Ticket to Ride, spent every night in the hot tub and by the fire! The highlight of my trip was renting a boat and spending the day on it. We also went tubing. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as we did!

My daughter and her family brought me and Paw Paw up for a week of fun and relaxation. What a beautiful cabin and views are the best. I love the logs, decks, and really everything. Fishing was good, shopping fun, gambling (not a big winner), and spending time with family. I am going blind and this has been a great treat. Great memories for me.

We loved staying here. It was very relaxing and just what we needed. It is in an ideal location to all of the places we went to like Bryson City and Nantahala. The cabin itself was very homey with a fantastic view. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

I don't think I ever left a comment when we stayed in the summer of 2012. I should have, and now that we are planning a family reunion, we can think of no better place to stay. This log cabin is so beautiful and roomy. The view of the lake is lovely, but the stars at night are breath-taking! In fact, nights in the hot tub or next to the outdoor wood burning fire place were what we enjoyed the most. There are plenty of things to do in the area, all within an hour drive, and we took advantage of them! The roads are paved and in great shape! We like that the property lies within a gated community too. This is the kind of place that my husband and have in mind for retirement, so we can't wait to come back with family and share this gem with them!
