I'm a nurse at a major hospital and it has not been easy! After working overtime every week for the last year and a half, this quiet vacation was just what I needed. I am happy to be here. We are close to town, so we are able to spend our days walking around downtown and enjoying the serenity of nature.

The people at GSCR were very easy to communicate with and responses were very swift in less then 24 hrs. The cabin was simply beautiful an breath taking. Listening to the sounds of nature was peaceful. t was perfect for the size I wanted 2 bed 2 bath, view was amazing plus the hot tub was a bonus and pricing was decent. Since I came in the winter, all I wanted to do was relax. Worked on my music, read a book, dipped in the jacuzzi, spent quality time with my boyfriend, visited my best friend. Ate at a fabulous restaurant called Anthony's right down the hill

We had to reschedule because my wife had a stroke on the way to the cabin. The staff was very compassionate and accommodating. I very much appreciated their help, concern and prayers. The cabin was very clean and roomy. Nice gas grill. Nice big refrigerator. Nice gas fireplace. We went driving around sightseeing and walking around Bryson City. We ate lunch at the Nantahala Outdoor Center. We drove up the Road to Nowhere and walked thru the tunnel. Went for a hike to see a waterfall in Deep Creek camping area. Drove to Fontana Lake and dam. Ate lunch at Fontana Village. Drove up to Newfound Gap and halfway to Clingmans Done. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.
