Inspired by the owner’s travels through the Swiss Alps, Wengen Chalet is a cozy mountain side retreat located only minutes from Bryson City and The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The high elevation of Wengen Chalet offers year round long range, unobstructed views of nearby mountain peaks from the large deck, six person hot tub and screened porch. From the inside of the house an entire wall of windows brings the spectacular views inside for you to enjoy.
2 Bedrooms & 2 Baths: The first bedroom is on the main level with a custom built rustic king-size bed and private bath with large tiled shower. Second bedroom is also on the main level with a custom built rustic queen-size bed and access to second full bath with a tub and shower combination.
There is a great open loft area with a Flat Screen TV, DVD Player, ample room for kids to play. The loft has a twin daybed with a trundle that can convert to a King for an additional charge.
The thoughtfully designed and fully equipped kitchen, complete with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances makes entertaining a real pleasure.
Upstairs is the loft with a couch that is perfect for lounging. There is also a Atari Flashback game system and DVD player in the loft which makes it a perfect space for entertaining children or those who are just young at heart.

The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. They made booking simple and the experience was positive from beginning to end. This was our second time to the Wengen this year! We absolutely love it and wanted to bring my parents with us this time around. It was a great way to celebrate my 40th birthday and I am looking forward to coming back again soon. I spent the most time on the back deck, in the hot tub enjoying the views and the screened in porch.

This was our first time in Bryson City and we really enjoyed it. We hiked in Deep Creek and the Appalachian Trail which was challenging but worth it. Great directions for getting to the cabin. We just relaxed, used the hot tub, and drove to Clingmans Dome and the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way home. The staff provided great directions for getting to the cabin.

The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly which made the experience that much better. I also loved receiving a call shortly after arrival to make sure we made it there safe from Chicago and didn't need anything. Such a wonderful personal touch that might seem small but makes a huge difference. The cabin far exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to book our next trip to come back! We love the outdoors and hiking. Wengen was very private with a beautiful view, hot tub, fire pit, screened in porch, grill, etc. so it was perfect.
Ironically we had a cabin booked with another rental company and to our great disappointment, received a call weeks after booking that the owner needed to do repairs so we had to find another cabin. They were not very accommodating and when I just said I want my money back - they gave me a hard time as if this was our choosing. In the end, it was the best thing that could have happened because it caused us to keep looking and we found GSCR and Bryson City which is much more our style!

The cabin is a Slice of Heaven and exceeded our expectations! We needed to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of Chicago, we were all able to disconnect and be present, it was exactly what we needed. Relaxing in the hot tub after long hikes, we enjoyed the amazing views by day and the star at night! WE will cherish our memories....until next time!
