Inspired by the owner’s travels through the Swiss Alps, Wengen Chalet is a cozy mountain side retreat located only minutes from Bryson City and The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The high elevation of Wengen Chalet offers year round long range, unobstructed views of nearby mountain peaks from the large deck, six person hot tub and screened porch. From the inside of the house an entire wall of windows brings the spectacular views inside for you to enjoy.
2 Bedrooms & 2 Baths: The first bedroom is on the main level with a custom built rustic king-size bed and private bath with large tiled shower. Second bedroom is also on the main level with a custom built rustic queen-size bed and access to second full bath with a tub and shower combination.
There is a great open loft area with a Flat Screen TV, DVD Player, ample room for kids to play. The loft has a twin daybed with a trundle that can convert to a King for an additional charge.
The thoughtfully designed and fully equipped kitchen, complete with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances makes entertaining a real pleasure.
Upstairs is the loft with a couch that is perfect for lounging. There is also a Atari Flashback game system and DVD player in the loft which makes it a perfect space for entertaining children or those who are just young at heart.

Loved the house - great location that offered stunning views and isolation. Roads up to house were not an issue like other reviews suggested - normal gravel mountain roads. Keep revs up, low gear and watch for potholes. House super clean, very comfortable beds. Thoughtful amenities. Hot tub nice and clean and in good working order. Plenty of gas in outdoor grill. My husband and I had a fantastic time. We went snowboarding at Cataloochee in Maggie Valley. Took our pups hiking all over the Great Smoky Mtns. We enjoyed the isolation of the cabin. We got to turn our phones off, play some board games, relax in the Hot Tub and enjoy the view. We look froward to coming again!

We enjoyed a lovely weekend at the Chalet which started with a magical ride on the Polar Express. Our kids loved the toys and the adults enjoyed the Hot Tub. There was quite a winter storm on our last night which brought about 2 inches of snow. Kids loved it!

When I called to make the reservations. We were looking for a cabin where we could take our dog Molly. When I seen that most of your cabins were booked for the Thanksgiving holiday. I knew that this was the place for us. You guys sure are popular. And now my wife and I see why. The cabin was absolutely beautiful! My wife and I wanted they get away from the hustle and bustle of the city we live in. Your cabin provided us with that peace and quiet that we so needed. he views from the chalet or breathtaking. Watching the sun Force the fog out of The valleys in the morning while sitting on the deck drinking our coffee. Was absolutely amazing. It is something that my wife and I will be back to witness again.

Six of us get together for an annual cabin adventure. We usually stay near Gatlinburg but glad we made the drive from Nashville! Wish I could recommend activities nearby but the cabin was too cozy to leave, so we just stayed in. Thanks for the peaceful times. I'm sure we will be back!

We came here to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. It was a perfect choice! The view, the cabin, it was all wonderful! We spent the first two days adventuring through trails and roads! We found our way to "The Road TO Nowhere," as well as Clingmans Dome. Our last day was rainy so we spent it relaxing here at the cabin. Thank you! This gave us tons of mountain fever and can't wait to come back.

Wow! What a cabin! This trip has exceeded our expectations. Fall colors were at their peak in the beginning of the week and the views from the deck are spectacular! Most of our time was spent outside taking in as much mountain air as possible. Four days was not enough. We hope to come back in the spring to do some more hiking when the wild flowers are in bloom. This cabin was the cherry on top of a great week of re-connecting as a family.

Cathy at Great Smokys Cabin Rentals suggested this for our specific needs and she was right. While here, we saw a Black Bear, Turkeys and Elk on our drive through the park.

GSCR is Awesome! They found me the best deals. I will never use vrbo/homeaway/Airbnb again because of their insane fees. The staff was friendly and prompt and it was nice to talk to a real person not a messaging system when we had an issue. We LOVED this property. The view could have sold us alone but the interior was just as nice. We felt like we were in our own world on top of wengen. We even opted not to go out for dinner one night just to stay in and see the sunset over the mountain, and isnt that what its all about? We go to the mountains to be in nature and this place definitely did just that! We put down our phones/laptops/etc and just enjoyed the outdoors.

The cabin is a lovely place with amazing views. We enjoyed our days out but loved coming back to a place we could call "home" for the week where we could unwind and relax with so much nature around us. Beautiful The views are absolutely amazing, the cabin itself is very inviting. It exceeded our expectations. This is our second time staying in the Wengen Chalet and it was wonderful. We went tubing, lots of hiking, driving scenic routes, walking around Bryson City.
