Inspired by the owner’s travels through the Swiss Alps, Wengen Chalet is a cozy mountain side retreat located only minutes from Bryson City and The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The high elevation of Wengen Chalet offers year round long range, unobstructed views of nearby mountain peaks from the large deck, six person hot tub and screened porch. From the inside of the house an entire wall of windows brings the spectacular views inside for you to enjoy.
2 Bedrooms & 2 Baths: The first bedroom is on the main level with a custom built rustic king-size bed and private bath with large tiled shower. Second bedroom is also on the main level with a custom built rustic queen-size bed and access to second full bath with a tub and shower combination.
There is a great open loft area with a Flat Screen TV, DVD Player, ample room for kids to play. The loft has a twin daybed with a trundle that can convert to a King for an additional charge.
The thoughtfully designed and fully equipped kitchen, complete with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances makes entertaining a real pleasure.
Upstairs is the loft with a couch that is perfect for lounging. There is also a Atari Flashback game system and DVD player in the loft which makes it a perfect space for entertaining children or those who are just young at heart.

We were here last October and found more things to do. A Local told us of a hidden trail to a waterfall and it was spectacular! A Big thank you to the people that keep this house in wonderful condition! White Water Rafting was a blast! There is so much to do in the area and surrounding areas. It is amazing. We may just make this house an every year tradition!

We enjoyed our stay so much. Everything about the cabin was wonderful. I don't think that there was a better view on the mountain. WE rafting on the Nantahala , hiking and tubing at Deep Creek. We were just as happy to sit on the porch relaxing. Thank you for sharing your home with us. And for being pet friendly.

When we planned our last minute Spring Break getaway, we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. This place far exceeded anything we imagined! Cabin was exceptional as were the views, the weather and the area hiking. We will highly recommend Wengen Chalet to friends and family. I spent 4 days at Whispering Wood Cabin last week with some friends from high school. We hadnt seen each other in many years and it was an absolutely amazing weekend! The area is beautiful and the cabin was so warm and inviting, we loved it! I especially loved the deck with the hot tub and porch swings. It even had Wi-Fi. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit one night (sorry for the noise down-the-hill neighbor!). The kitchen had everything we could have asked for, including instant hot water. The rooms are spacious and lovely. The birds chirped. Even the almost constant rain couldnt dampen our time there. I recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a great get-a-way. I know I cant wait to go back again!

Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful Chalet. I hate that our time was so short and would have loved to stay much longer. There were wonderful memories started here. We used the hot tub, though it was freezing. The nights themselves were breath-taking as you could see every star. We went to Cherokee and best of all, Justin proposed. We rented the cabin for a last minute get away coming from nearby Asheville so we could spend some time hiking in the GSMNP. This is a beautiful place to relax with great views. We enjoyed the hot tub and the rocking chairs. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future getaways!

Overall, the cabin was exceptional. The location was secluded and quiet yet easy to get to. The amenities were top notch including plenty of dish soap, detergent, blender, toaster, coffee maker, electric griddle, fondue set, grill, plenty of towels, hot chocolate, coffee, sugar, flour, & spices. The hot tub was very clean and looked brand new. We have stayed at several different cabins managed by other companies with varying degrees of quality - this was certainly the nicest. I would highly recommend this specific cabin and expect that all of the cabins are taken care of in a similar manner.
