Come for a 4 day vacation! Best vacation, we went to the casino while we were here and won 1,597.00 on a slot machine! Most I have ever won. Relaxed in this nice little cabin and we loved it. We will be back!

We came here on a Monday and played dominos and built a campfire and went in the hot tub. On Tuesday we went on the Smoky Mountain Express, white water rafting, and used the hot tub. We made a fire in the fire pit. On Wednesday we went hiking and to the gem museum and the Rose Creek Mine. On Thursday we went horseback riding and to the Museum of the Cherokee Indian.

"Beautiful view and beautiful cabin" This was a nice cabin to stay in. If you are looking for complete privacy, then this cabin may not be for you. There is a road and another cabin that overlooks the hot tub. We did love the size and comforts of the inside and the view was great, even in early april. Manager Response - May 24, 2013: Thank you, Robert, for taking the time to review Bear Hug Cabin. We are glad that you enjoyed the view at the cabin. Please keep us in mind for future vacations. "very peaceful and relaxing" The view was great it snowed while we were there and it was beautiful the road to the cabin was not good and the shower was too small for my husband, but overall the cabin was cozy. Manager Response - Dec 21, 2012: Thank you, Connie, for taking the time to review Bear Hug Cabin. We appreciate your feedback and are glad you found the cabin cozy, peaceful and relaxing. The road to Bear Hug Cabin is a rough road, and the shower head in the stall shower is at a height that taller people may not prefer. We do hope you will keep us in mind for future vacations -- as a repeat guest you will receive a 10% discount off any of our cabins. My husband and I chose to stay at a Bryson City cabin after a very hectic and rough 8 weeks of work. It was just what we needed. It was the perfect three days. We were on the side of a mountain and completely isolated. We awoke every morning to coffee on the porch watching the sunrise and spent the evening in the hot tub watching the sun set. We grilled, had a fire, and cooked smores. It was the perfect vacation to reconnect with eachother. We also spent a day on the trails in the Smoky Mountain park, jumped on the Smokey Railroad and drove up to Cherokee. We will be returning. Manager Response - Dec 17, 2012: Thank you, Dan & Natalie, for taking the time to review Bear Hug Cabin. We are so glad this was a perfect vacation to reconnect to your husband and that you enjoyed the cabin so much. Please keep us in mind for your future vacations - as a repeat guest you will receive a 10% discount when you call to book.

If you don't mind the drive up the mountain, and your looking for a private little get away. this is it. What a view. I shopped around for just the right place so I did the home work and this is definatley a place i would return to. 10 minutes from town. All you need is a little firewood for the outdoor fire pit and have 4 wheel drive. totally awesome. Jim & Mary Manager Repsonse - Jun 5, 2012: Thank you, Jim & Mary, for taking the time to review Bear Hug Cabin. The owners let us know today that they would be doing some repair work, so it won't be quite as difficult to get to. Nice clean well equipped cabin with view of Lake. Very pleasant with exception of visit by neighbor's ( owners, I believe of cabin just above the one we stayed in. One dog was very large. They came into the back yard while we were roasting weiners and marshmallows. They attempted to lick us and search for the food. I let them know in a nice way that we didn't want the company of the dogs. They removed them, but they came back several times. The owners of this cabin might want to finish the fence around the back and put a gate on the lower deck of the cabin. Manager Response 04/13/2012: Thank you, Allan, for taking the time to write a review. Those neighbors who spoke to you were not the owners of the property, despite what they may have lead you to believe. Unforunately, in this area leash laws are very limited and some people just let their dogs roam free. We'll let the actual owners of the property know about your suggestion for the gate and fence. We're glad that you enjoyed the cabin other than your unexpected visitors. Please keep us in mind for future vacations. As a repeat guest you will receive a 10% discount off any of our cabins. If you would like to try a different property, just let us know what you're looking for and we can help you find the property that best suits your needs.

We were very happy with our stay here. The cabin is cute and cozy. Tremendous view of the smokies. Relaxing porch. Only negative is the road up the mountain is a challenge to navigate. Easy to get lost.
