We had such a wonderful time at the great escape. Hot tub was great after a day of hiking. Kitchen was well stocked so we could have easy meals at home. Fire pit was cozy on the mountainside. And what a view, we absolutely loved and will miss our morning coffee in the rocking chairs taking in the view of the mountains. Great area, Bryson city is our go to spot and this will be our go to cabin in the future, thanks!!

This home has gorgeous views right from the front porch. It's got enough trees to always have a shady spot to sit outside and the breeze is refreshing. Sunsets are stunning! The interior was spotless. Fresh linens are provided, even towels for the Jacuzzi, which was also very clean. All the appliances worked perfectly and the dual Keurig (pods or ground coffee can be brewed) was a nice touch. The waffle maker is fun, along with making Smores at the fire pit. The water pressure is wonderful and the wifi is really fast. We also had great cell service from both Verizon and T-Mobile. It's a short drive to Sylva, WCU, Bryson City or Cherokee. There are a lot of winding, narrow roads but they are paved, as is the driveway. This is a very well taken care of property and one of the best we've ever stayed at.

The views were beautiful. If you want a gorgeous mountain cabin in the middle of the wooded mountains this is the right place for you. Was perfect for our family and dog. I will say the roads are gravel and you need four wheel drive. It was accurately described in its listing. The house was cute quaint and perfect mountain getaway. I felt safe and comfortable. Its close to downtown, great Smokey mountain national park, Cherokee, farms, Gatlinburg, Asheville as well. We would definitely stay here again. It is a very remote location but it was something I enjoyed. I loved the extra sunlight we got at this cabin opposed to the other cabin by another rental company that the rest of my family stayed at. Thank you for allowing us to stay in this little Mountain Gem!! They also had little extra personal touches where they had extra towels, pillows, comforters, little welcome packs, and plenty of stuff in the bathroom, like little shampoos and sample packs.

We had a great 3 days! Very peaceful ,relaxing and private. The host was responsive and helpful. The book that provides you with a list of things to do was a nice touch and the jacuzzi was nice once the sun went down and it cooled off! We enjoyed driving up and down the road but I wouldn't have attempted it without 4 wheel drive as it is gravel and pretty steep. I'll go back!

The location was great, hot tub was so nice to have to relax after a long day of exploring. Fenced yard for dogs was a great feature!

We had such a lovely time at this Airbnb! The view is unbeatable, the house was very clean and comfortable and fit our needs perfectly! It was about 20-50 minutes away from the hikes we wanted to do and Bryson city. The view made it completely worth it though! I would definitely stay there again!

GSCR are amazing hosts. We had an issue that came up with our first cabin. Its is not something negative at all. We had to change cabins and they were instantly helpful. We stay in the Lower Appalachian area quite often and have used several AirBnb hosts. Great Smoky is at the top of the list. I cant say enough about how nice the cabins were. Well thought out and appointed well. We had a wonderful restful stay. We will be back

This was the best Airbnb I have ever stayed. Let this be the example of how all vacation home should be modeled after. White sheets, white towels, toiletries provided in a cute gift satchel. The home had a welcoming ambiance with impeccable cleanliness. The hot tub is the icing on the cake after a long day of zip lining through the Nantahala forest. The kitchen was well organized with newer pots, pans and dishes. I enjoyed cooking there and relaxing with my family. I sincerely did not want to leave. Thank you for having family, fun and comfort in mind while designing this vacation masterpiece. Chefs kiss!!!

Absolutely beautiful, the views and the home were unlike any I have seen. The host was super amazing, it was better than the pictures! We had an amazing time here!

Words cannot describe how beautiful the sunsets are here. Mesmerizing! We enjoyed all this place had to offer. Hot tub, fire with yummy smores, read a book in the hammock. Game room was excellent (I didnt know my husband liked karaoke so much). Played games on the porch, the kitchen was stocked with every pot and pan imaginable. Beds were so comfy. It was a really nice stay with all the kids! Well deserved family retreat!

We loved our stay here! The home is full of things to do, from the game room to the hot tub. We would highly recommend this home and would definitely stay again.

If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful setting this is it. If you are not used to the mountain roads just be aware of sharp curves. Set back in one of the front porch rocking chairs and enjoy the scenery. The home offered everything one would hope for. We would recommend the Bear Cove to all of our friends! We would definitely stay here again. But

My family and I spent a week here with our 2 year old and 2 dogs. It gave us comfort knowing the yard was fenced in. We arrived in town earlier than anticipated and the hosts got us into the cabin as soon as possible. Our favorite was sitting by the fire and taking in the world around us.

This location is great you you need time away from the normal busy life. The property is literally at the top of a mountain overlooking a valley. The driveway is steep but after my 2nd trip down it I got the hang of it. The house was actually much larger and accommodating than expected. There are only 3 bedrooms but I feel like the house could fit 7-9 people comfortably. We plan on staying again next year.

Great little cabin! It's the second highest on the mountain, with a nice view of the mountains from the jacuzzi. Bed was comfy, and the addition of the washer and dryer was a nice touch. All in all, had a great stay, and for my third visit with Great Smoky Mountains Cabins, there service is awesome!

Our familys stay was exactly what we needed. The accommodations were comfortable and everything we needed was provided, except the groceries of course. The weather was perfect when we were there but the kids and adults still enjoyed the indoor games and porch views. The route to Bryson City isnt complicated or very far but if you are anxious with mountain driving I would recommend arriving to the cabin during daylight hours the first time.

Very respectful and responsive, always one step ahead with check in/check out, we never felt unprepared or rushed at any point. The stay was beautiful and kept very clean.

We stayed at the cabin for my 30th birthday weekend and had a great time. Private, charming and so peaceful. Would highly recommend for your stay in Bryson City!

Our stay at this cabin was amazing, everything that was posted on Airbnb. Was exactly what I walked into , very clean. We had a small issue on our arrival day we reached out to the great Smokey rental company, an they was very quick to respond even sent out property manager an he was very polite and done everything an more . We will definitely be staying again in the future.. thank you so much for all the hospitality

This is our 4th time at A Bears Retreat. Such a wonderful cabin. It is like nothing else to remind us of beauty and family. Great Food, beautiful views, and so peaceful!!
